Hands-On Chemistry
At Nomad, we believe innovation doesn’t happen behind glass in a lab – it happens in the field, alongside the people using it. That’s why we take a hands-on approach to every formula, blending deep technical expertise with real-world practicality and experience.
Our solutions are built for how things really work, not how they’re supposed to work in theory. We partner directly with operators, engineers, service companies, and end users to craft chemistry that delivers –under pressure, in any condition, with no margin for error. What more could you ask for than Hands-On Chemistry.

YOUR SOLUTION. DELIVERED.

OFFSHORE
A major oil and gas company was looking for help in neutralizing H2S in a liquid hydrocarbon stream for offshore operations. Their current product, manufactured by a global brand, was causing severe environmental issues in the FPSO water treatment system. Nomad provided a novel scavenger that did not affect water treatment restrictions and greatly reduced operational expenses.

PETROCHEMICAL
Nomad was approached at ILTA in Houston by a national waste services company to discuss hydrocarbon and wastewater holding tank cleaning. Their competitor, a globally-recognized brand, was unwilling to sell them the product for services their staff was contracted to perform. Again, challenge accepted. Within 72 hours, the product was engineered and ready for implementation.

WATER
A water treatment operator in NW Louisiana was faced with recycling and reusing fluids experiencing the overuse of polyacrylamides, a.k.a. FR / friction reducer. The polymer overload was preventing solids from settling out, and treating the fluids with current methods was causing the polymer to turn to "gum". Nomad accepted the challenge. The ionic character of the FR was discovered, an inorganic breaker was employed, and the water was clear by next morning.
SWD
A salt water disposal well (SWD) operator in West Texas was faced with serious plugging issues that would occur daily. Their current chemical supplier's products were not robust enough to handle the fluids received at the SWD, as plugging would occur as often as every 12 hours. Nomad went out to the field, assessed the water quality, performed the necessary analyses, and developed a solution within 48 hours.

MIDSTREAM
Nomad was recently approached by a major midstream pipeline company who is experiencing corrosion issues in their natural gas pipeline network. A recent failure experienced in West Texas was attributed to their current supplier's (a globally recognized brand) product performance. Nomad developed a solvent-based vapor phase corrosion inhibitor (VPCI), and product evaluation is underway.

INDUSTRIAL
A West Texas glycol unit cleaner was faced with the challenge of the cleaning and decontamination of tubing, towers and DEHY units. Their current product was working, foaming too much causing extended cleaning times and economic inefficiencies. Nomad developed a low foam product and provided the solution to the customer who expressed their pleasure in the performance due to the very low foam characteristics and excellent product efficacy.
